Rooibos or Red Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves come from the Aspalathus Linearis (red bush) plant grown in South Africa. Rooibos is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties. It is naturally caffeine-free and low in tannins (so it has no bitterness). Red Rooibos leaves are crushed, allowed to undergo natural oxidation/fermentation, then dried. They have a light, nutty, woody taste with a hint of sweetness. Our Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves are Organic.
Green Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves are Rooibos or red Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves that are unfermented and are steamed and dried to prevent oxidation/fermentation. It has a mild smooth and grassy flavor similar to traditional green tea. Our Green Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves are Organic.
